My Barefoot spa is up and running strong now, but I got off to a rocky start. I got is hooked up a few days ago, and as soon as I filled it with water, it leaked! I spent a lot of money on this thing, and was pretty upset. Turns out it was a minor thing, that I actually fixed myself. This is my first spa, and didn’t know what to do. I admit, I panicked a little. The water was dripping all over the place, and puddled up in my yard. I called the customer service hotline, and talked to a girl named Amanda. She was pretty good. Apparently she works right at the factory.
Anyway, first she wanted to send a tech out, but he wouldn’t be there until the next day. Long story short, she ended up walking me though how to fix the leak. It was pretty minor fix. The union ring for the pump was loose. That was all, so I tightened it up with a wrench and the leak stopped! I’m glad I took a look at the inside of the spa cause now I’m familiar with it if I ever need to open it up again.
My Barefoot PB8 has ben running fine since. It fires up every time, and feels great. I just wish I didn’t have a problem right from the start. Would’ve given Barefoot Spas 5 stars. Anyone else have issues when you first fill it like this? If you do MAKE SURE THE PUMP UNION IS TIGHT!!!
